Culture of Nepal

Nepal is a beautiful mountainous and land locked country. Here we can find different type of cast, religion and it s culture. The main religion of this beautiful country are Hindu, Muslims and Buddhist. People from foreign country come to visit in this beautiful country. Mountain, Lakes and Hill are the main source for attraction to tourist. Farming and tourism are the source of income. Gurung, Magar, Rai, Tamang, Tharu, Thakali, Brahmin, Chhetri, Shepas, Newar, Dhimal, Damai, Vishwakarma, Sarki and other cast are the main cast in this country.  If you interested to visit Nepal, it is very nice for traveling, trekking, rafting, biking, safari, shopping, entertaining, do business and exploration. Barahi Temple

Barahi Temple is located in the centre of the Fewa lake. A small island in the middle of the Fewa lake located a beautiful temple known as Barahi Temple.  It is famous for its bless to pilgrims and believes that the Barahi god can give every thing what they expected if ask with Barahi god. It is beautiful temple in Pokhara city.  Many Hindu people go for worship to Barahi god. Begnas Lake

Pokhara is the city of lakes in this city you can see the seven lakes. Begnas is the famous and beautiful and peaceful lake. It is located in the eastern part of the city. It situated in the east of 15 kilometer from Pokhara city. It is northern direction of the Prithvi highway the way to Kathamandu. You can go swimming, fishing and boating in this lake. Begnas lake is around 1 sqr  kilometer. Local people Gurung, Magar, Chhetri, Brahmin, Majhi and other cast live in this region. Majhis are the main local people in the lake and they depends in this lake. Fishing is a main income source of Majhis. Begnas is a peaceful and beautiful lake in Pokhara city. Many tourist and local people comes to visit from different places. Begnas is one of the most beautiful lake in Nepal. Fish keeping is its main culture of this lake. People in this areas are very friendly and honesty.

Mountain Museum of Pokhara

Nepal is the country of mountain and beautiful hills. The mount everest is the highest and the top of the world. It is located in the northern part of the nepal. Therefore mountain museum is the most important in this country. The mountain museum is located in Rato Pahiro, which is placed in the very peace and beautiful site of the Pokhara city. Shanti Stupa

Shanti Stupa is one of the beautiful stupa known as the world peace pagoda, It was established to build the Vishwa Shanti (world peace emphasis for nonviolence)  .  which is located in the western part of Pokhara city in the top hill. If you visit in Shanti Stupa you can see the beautiful view and scene of the Pokhara city and Fewa lake. In Shanti Stupa you can get peace and feel very wonderful beauty of Pokhara city. From Shanti Stupa you can see the whole view of Fewa and beautiful jungle of this place. People from different places of nepal and tourist from different countries come to visit to this place, where you can get relief and get peaceful environment. Local people of Gurung, Brahmin, Chhetri, Damai and  Bishwokarma are live in this place. It is famous for its beautiful scene.

Mahendra Cave

Mahendra cave is famous for itself. It is located in the northern part of Pokhara city. It is the main traction for tourist from different countries  and different places of nepal to visit in this cave. It is very old cave in this area. Mahendra cave is nearly 200 miter long cave. If you come in Pokhara and not visited in Mahendra cave your dream will remain unsuccessful. I think this place is one of the beautiful place in the world and wonderful experience in life. I can not explain myself more about Mahendra cave in Pokhara, which is very very wonderful and exotic for every people who has visited in this beautiful cave. Local people in this area are very honesty and friendly. People of different cast and religion are one of the unique in this place.

Seti River

Seti River is a main attraction and wonderful in Pokhara. It is flowing in the centre of the main Pokhara city, which is very very wonderful river. You can rarely see like this river,   If you visit in Pokhara you must see the seti river which is flowing very close under the narrow and very deep under ground. Seti river is the most beauty and wonderful sight of this city. You don t forget to see seti river. It s water is white and full of sand. Water of this river is not drinkable, washable and not good to take bath. This river is famous for good sand to make house. But you can go fishing, swimming, kayaking and white water rafting.  

Gupteswor Cave

Gupteswor is a famous cave in Pokhara . Inside the cave we can find the temple of the Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is great god of Hindu. People worship to Lord Shiva and pray for  theirs happiness and wealth. You can also see the beautiful temple in this cave. Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave a huge stalagmite worshiped as a Shiva lingams. The ticket only covers the temple, there you can pay another a low tunnel behind the cave, the behind a spring waters of Devi's Falls. At the ceiling of the cave, you can see cracks and beautiful mark by the force of the waters. There are two cave inside it. You  have to pay entry fee to see the natural cave of Gupteswor, electricity is managed for convenience of visitors. Second part of the cave closes during the Jun, July, Aug and September due to heavy rain and flood from Devi,s fall. It is an interesting experience to visit Gupteswor.

Sarangkot Hill

Sarangkot is the hill in Pokhara. It is famous for mountain view. you can see beautiful view of mountain as fishtail, dhaulagiri and annapurna mountain. Tourist from different countries come to see the mountain view in the early morning and go for sky driving from this hill is exotic and romance. Sarangkot is the highest hill in Pokhara, if you stay in pokhara you must visit in Sarangkot. Sarangkot is the most pleasure view for mountain and Pokhara city. There are small developing village in Sarangkot.There are small lodge and restaurant in Sarangkot.You can enjoy the beautiful view and pleasure in Sarangko. From Sarangkot you can also see whole Pokhara valley. People of different cast live in sarangkot which are Gurung, Magar, Tamang, Brahmin, chhetri and other cast. You can find very peace, wonder and friendly in this beautiful hill.

Davi,s fall

Davis fall is a beautiful spring, which nickname was the original given to Patale Chhango. It is connected to sights in Nepal and around the world, A hiker that went by the name of Davis. Unfortunate hiker was swept away suddenly by the water into the underground passages and caves that run below the waterfall.  Mrs Davi, a Swiss tourist in Nepal, who was swimming in the Fewa Lake. This version took place in the year 1961 and the body of Mrs Davi was never recovered. A stream to eventually rush down the waterfall and disappear. It s Sound unbelievable, but the passages that run under the ground are connected to the hole below the waterfall. The best times to view this sight is during the  high rainfall and the summer season. During these periods the water runs and plunges over rocks, giving visitors a breathtaking show.

Lakes in Pokhara

Pokhara is the second big city of Nepal. It is the most popular for tourist destination. It s main attraction are lake and beautiful view of mountains. It is also known as city of lakes and  its natural beauty,  the lakes are famous for tourism and mountain view of Nepal. Handicraft, restaurants and hotels are located near this lakes. The main lakes Fewa, Begnas and Rupa lakes are the armaments of this city. You can see the beautiful lakes and hills surrounding the Pokhara city.
